- Choose a time of war during a period in history: Civil War, Vietnam War, World War I, or the War in Iraq & Afghanistan.
- Write a letter to a soldier or perhaps a relative involved in the war. Talk about your life and ask questions about his or her life. Include details that give clues to things about the era: transportation, families, entertainment, clothing, technology, etc.
